Upcoming Event: Women's Golf versus ANNIKA Intercollegiate on September 8, 2025

Former Blue Devil standout and 2007 ACC Player of the Year Carrie DeMange joins the Duke volleyball staff as the Director of Volleyball Operations.
A 2007 Duke graduate with a degree in Sociology, DeMange will return to her alma mater after a senior campaign that earned her ACC Player of the Year honors in addition to several ACC and Duke records. Her school-record 606 kills in 2007 led the Blue Devils to a 25-7 overall record and a 19-3 mark in the ACC which was good enough for second place in the conference and a third straight bid to the NCAA Tournament.
As the newly appointed Director of Volleyball Operations, DeMange will take on a range of responsibilities including daily office administration, organizing official and unofficial visits for recruits, handling travel arrangements for recruiting trips and team road matches, serving as the Tournament Director for the fall and spring home tournaments and marketing the team’s home matches. She will also play an important role in coordinating the team’s community service projects, the annual awards banquet in the spring and a variety of other duties.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, DeMange concluded her four-year career at Duke as the ACC’s all-time kills leader with 1,976 kills, a total that was aided by four consecutive seasons with more than 400 kills each year. She blew away her previous season highs as a senior with a school-record 606 kills for an ACC-leading average of 5.01 per game, a mark that also landed her among the top 20 in the country. While proving her worth as one of the top offensive players in the country, DeMange was also a valuable defensive player and primary passer as evidenced by her 415 digs and 97 blocks on the season.
In addition to three straight first team All-ACC selections, DeMange also appeared on the AVCA All-America Honorable Mention squad as a sophomore, junior and senior. She is one of just two Blue Devils in school history to appear on the All-America team in three different seasons.
