Tara Siesel joined the Duke University Athletic Medicine staff in February 2015 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Athletic Medicine. In this capacity, she is the athletic trainer for both the men's soccer and women's tennis teams.
Originally from Portland, Maine, Siesel graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the women's soccer program. She is actively involved in the Duke Sport Science Committee, managing men's soccer GPS load monitoring, wellness and recovery programs. Siesel was honored with the Duke Presidential Meritorious Service Award in 2018 for her role in changing an NCAA rule that impacted men's and women's soccer.
Prior to joining Duke, Siesel earned her master's degree from the University of Alabama, where she also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Crimson Tide's athletic programs.
