Lexie Stapleton joined Duke Athletics in 2026 and serves as an Academic Coordinator, providing academic support for the football program. In her role, she advises student-athletes on academic planning, NCAA eligibility and degree progress while collaborating with coaches, faculty and campus partners to promote student success.
Prior to joining Duke, Stapleton served as an academic counselor for student-athletes at Oregon State, where she worked with football, women's basketball and men's and women's rowing. She previously was an athletic academic advisor at Idaho State, supporting football, softball and men's and women's tennis while overseeing the department's study hall program. Stapleton also served as a teaching assistant in the athletic academic support unit at Miami (Ohio), where she facilitated leadership and student development programming for first-year student-athletes.
A former women's basketball student-athlete at Georgetown College, Stapleton earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences with a minor in psychology in 2022. She received a Master of Science in sport leadership and management from Miami (Ohio) in 2025 and also holds a graduate certificate in sport psychology.
