Kersten Schubert joined Duke Athletics in 2022 and was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in 2026. She works primarily with the cross country and track & field programs.
Prior to her arrival in Durham, Schubert served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Oklahoma State beginning in 2019, where she also worked with the cross country and track & field teams. From 2018–19, she was an athletic training intern at the University of Florida and supported the 2019 men’s indoor track national championship team. She also served as medical director for the 2020 Cross Country National Championship hosted by Oklahoma State.
Schubert earned a Master of Adult and Higher Education with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 2018, where she also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Catawba College in 2016.Â
