Josh Smith joined Duke Athletics in 2024 as Manager, Premium Sales with Learfield Amplify. In this capacity, he is responsible for enhancing the sales and retention strategies for premium season tickets, partial plans and group tickets. Smith's role is pivotal in developing proactive sales approaches to meet and exceed revenue goals while fostering strong relationships with fans, partners and the local community.
Prior to Duke, Smith served as a Ticket Sales and Service Consultant at Liberty University, where he managed over 500 accounts, soliciting donations and renewing season tickets across multiple sports. He demonstrated his prowess in sales by breaking season and group ticket sales records and providing exceptional service and hospitality to donors and season ticket holders.
Smith’s experience is complemented by his roles at Liberty, where he also worked as a Graduate Student Assistant in Sport Event Tourism Management. During this time, he was responsible for leading class instructions, coordinating campus tours and supporting the department's recruitment efforts.
Smith holds a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, both from Liberty.
