Imani Dorsey joined Duke Athletics in 2025 as the Athletics Climate and Sustainability Coordinator. In this role, she provides operational leadership to support the implementation of the Duke University Climate Commitment across all athletic programs and facilities.
Dorsey leads the Duke Athletics Climate Team (ACT), with a focus on sustainable operations, policy integration and student engagement. She partners closely with the Office of Climate and Sustainability to align Athletics’ initiatives with broader institutional goals and helps organize environmentally responsible athletic events.
A 2018 Duke graduate, Dorsey earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy while competing as an All-American on the women’s soccer team. She returned to Duke following an eight-year professional career in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). In addition to her athletic career, she played an instrumental role in labor and equity efforts, helping negotiate the NWSLPA’s first collective bargaining agreement and serving as a founding board member of the Black Women’s Player Collective.
