Ernest Miller joined Duke Athletic Medicine as the Sports Physical Therapist in March 2024, working primarily with the football program.
Prior to his current role, Miller served as a Sport Physical Therapy Fellow at DukeĀ from July 2023 to July 2024, where he gained extensive experience working with athletes from variousĀ sports. During this fellowship, he was involved in all aspects of athletic care, including sideline coverage, setting up remote training and rehabilitation spaces for away gamesĀ and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive athlete care.Ā Before his fellowship, he was a Sports Physical Therapy Resident at Cleveland Clinic from June 2021 to December 2022. Here, he worked closely with collegiate athletes from Cleveland State University and Baldwin Wallace University, and high school athletes from Lakewood St. Edward High School.
Miller earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Winston-Salem State University in December 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed in December 2011. He is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.
