Brad Berndt

Brad Berndt joined the Duke staff in July 1997 and served as a senior associate director of athletics, overseeing the department’s academic affairs, summer athletic aid and athletic housing. He also completed institutional graduation and retention reports and served as the departmental liaison with the Admissions Office while acting as the sport administrator for baseball.
A native of Wausau, Wis., Berndt played junior college basketball for two years before transferring to Wisconsin, where he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
After one year as an academic advisor for student-athletes at Wisconsin, Berndt became the director of academic services at Appalachian State, a role he held for 12 years.
Berndt also served as a peer reviewer for the NCAA Certification Committee.
