Upcoming Event: Women's Basketball at North Carolina on March 1, 2026 at 12 p.m.




Assistant athletic trainer Joe Angus is in his 12th year with the Duke athletics department, working as the primary trainer for women's basketball. Angus coordinates the travel for the Blue Devils along with the day-to-day treatments and preventative measures for the women's team and is present at all practices and games, both at home and on the road.
A native of Tiffin, Ohio, Angus graduated from Marietta College in 1990 with a degree in sports medicine. He then entered the master's program in athletic training at North Carolina, serving as a graduate assistant trainer for the Tar Heels while earning his degree in 1992.
Angus is a licensed athletic trainer in North Carolina, and is a member of the College Athletic Trainers Society and National Athletic Trainers Society. He and his wife, Laddawan, reside in Durham with their four children: Vivien (10), J.C. (9), Jack (7) and Cassidy (4).
