Brent Greenberg joined the Blue Devil gridiron program in February 2022, and serves as the director of football digital strategy.
Greenberg comes to Durham after a three-year stint at Boston College, serving as an athletic communications intern for the 2019 season before being elevated to a creative video producer his final two years (2020-21). While in Chestnut Hill, Greenberg served as the primary video producer and lead social media manager for the football team. He also served as the primary media contact and social media coordinator for the nationally ranked field hockey and woman’s lacrosse programs. He grew the football account into the 75th highest followed college football account, while also growing the women’s lacrosse Instagram page by 79 percent during the 2021 season.
Prior to his time with the Eagles, Greenberg served the 2018 season as an athletic communications intern at Harvard University. During his time there, he served as the primary contact for men’s and women’s cross country/track and field and men’s volleyball and was the secondary contact for the men’s hockey program. He worked on the social media team for the Men’s Beanpot Tournament and the 135th playing of ‘The Game’ between Harvard and Yale as well.
Greenberg also served two-years (2017-18) as the director of communications for the non-profit organization Shootout for Soldiers, which is a company that hosts a 24-hour lacrosse game benefiting wounded American military members. He strategized and implemented a social media plan for the summer season and created graphics and short-length videos to supplement with pictures on their social media channels. During his time with the organization, Greenberg helped raise nearly $2 million for wounded American veterans.
A native of Gaithersburg, Md., Greenberg was a four-year letterwinner for the men’s lacrosse team at the University of Mount Union. As a Raider, Greenberg played in 57 career games, making 44 starts at attack. He finished his career with 77 goals and 63 assists for 140 points, with 135 ground balls. During his final season, Greenberg, who was a team captain, was named an Honorable Mention All-OAC selection and set the single-season school record for assists.
He graduated from Mount Union in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sports business and physical education. He added a master’s degree in public relations from Emerson College in 2020. While working toward his undergraduate degree, Greenberg served as a sports information intern with the Raiders.
