Upcoming Event: Swimming & Diving versus CSCAA National Invitational Championships on March 12, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. Prelims / 6 p.m. Finals

The Iron Dukes Varsity Club enables sport-specific funding for Duke’s 27 varsity teams, plus Marching Band and Cheerleading. Funds raised for each team’s Varsity Club support annual program needs — from travel and training equipment to facility upgrades and student-athlete well-being initiatives — so each program can compete with the nation’s best.
Annual gifts to a team’s Varsity Club bolster operational budgets for travel, equipment, nutrition, recovery and mental health programs, and enable opportunities such as international team travel and facility improvements. These gifts are flexible and have immediate impact on student-athlete experience.
Leadership gifts of $1,000 or more per year over three years provide sustained funding coaches can rely on for planning and program growth. Multi-year commitments make larger projects possible — including international trips, facility projects, and expanded travel opportunities.
Coaches identify special team projects each year that fall outside annual operating budgets. Major gifts of $25,000 and above have funded locker room renovations, branding projects, practice facility upgrades, and specialized training equipment — gifts at this level create measurable, program-level change.
Endowment-level gifts of $100,000 or more provide long-term sustainability by funding scholarships and supplementing operating support beyond the Athletics budget. Permanent funding is essential to ensure Duke’s teams can support student-athletes now and in the future.
