ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
Please find below a list of disability services currently provided at Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Prior to event day, please feel free to reach out to our disabilities coordinators at 919-668-6213 to help make arrangements for your visit or if you have any special needs, questions, or concerns regarding our accessibility and accommodations.
- Parking for Persons with Disabilities – is available in the Blue Zone Lots on Wannamaker Drive directly adjacent to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Access to the Blue Zone is available through the Iron Gate entrance on Duke University Road (GPS Address: 2300 Duke University Road). The closest lot to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center will be the fifth driveway on the left. There are marked ADA spaces available in the Blue Zone B-1 Lot. If the marked spaces are full an accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is available in this same lot located immediately outside Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
- Seating for Guests with Disabilities - is available along the front of the seating area above the competition area.
- Accessible Restrooms for Persons with Disabilities – There are limited accessible Men’s and Women’s restrooms in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. For assistance, please see the any Event Staff member located throughout the venue.
- Wheelchairs and Assistive Devices - Wheelchairs and assistive devices are permitted in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. The entrance to the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center located off the Blue Zone parking lots is the accessible entrance to the spectator seating area. Assistive devices (including walkers) may be stored next to or behind the bleachers. These devices may not impede aisles or walkways. Please locate Event Staff at the entrance for assistance with any devices.
- Gender Neutral Accessible Family Restroom – A gender-neutral restroom can be made available upon request. Please locate the nearest Event Staff member for assistance.
- Lactation Room - A lactation room can be made available upon request. Please locate the nearest Event Staff member for assistance.
- Emergency Evacuation - If an emergency evacuation arises, event staff will be available to persons with disabilities who request assistance in exiting the venue. Please follow the directions of the PA announcer, event staff and emergency responders.
ALCOHOL
It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.
ATM
There are no ATMs inside Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. The BB&T ATM is located outside of the Johnson Family Team Store on Tribull Plaza, across from Cameron Indoor Stadium and is accessible 24-7. The ATM only dispenses cash ($20 increments) and does not take deposits.
BAG POLICY
Purses, small bags, strollers, and backpacks are permitted to enter Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Duffel bags and large bags greater than 14” x 14” x 8” are not permitted (reasonable exceptions may be medical or childcare reasons). All bags permitted in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center are subject to bag checks upon arrival. Duke University reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the venue. Any such items should be returned to your vehicle and/or discarded. There is no place to check or store prohibited items in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
For the safety of all in attendance, bags/items are not permitted to be left unattended outside of the venue. Unattended bags/items found outside the venue will be dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials, including but not limited to disposal. Duke University and Duke Athletics are not responsible for loss of any unattended items.
BANNERS AND SIGNS
Banners and Signs are permitted inside Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center, however Duke reserves the right to prohibit or require the cessation of any display of a banner or sign that obstructs the view of other fans, obscures stadium signage, can be considered an advertisement, or is determined to be obscene, vulgar, indecent, inappropriate, or derogatory.
CAMERA POLICY
No video cameras are permitted at NCAA Championship Events. Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use only. Cameras with a lens longer than four (4) inches are not permitted.
CONCESSIONS
There are no concessions sold in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. No food or open beverage containers are permitted on the competition floor during the event. All food items should be contained to the spectator seating area or designated team corrals. There is dining available in the Brodhead Center and Bryan Center located on West Campus (
map).
CONDUCT
The NCAA and Duke Athletics expects all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during, and after the competition. We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches and officials with courtesy. Please join us in creating a fun, safe, family atmosphere by not:
- Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the game;
- Using/displaying foul or abusive language or gestures;
- Appearing to be intoxicated or in a diminished capacity;
- Entering the competition or restricted access areas;
- Smoking except in designated areas;
- Throwing objects onto the competition area or within the venue; or
- Otherwise being disorderly.
Violators are subject to removal from the facility and possible arrest. You can speak to Event Staff in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center or contact us on Twitter at

DOORS / ENTRY
All doors to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center will open one (1) hour prior to the start of the championship.
- The main entrance is located off the Blue Zone parking lot at the south end of Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center above Court 6. This entrance is accessible for guests with disabilities.
- Additional entry is available on the north end of Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center adjacent to the outdoor practice courts behind Court 5.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
In case of emergency, contact the nearest Duke Athletics staff member or call Duke Police at (919) 684-2444. Blue light emergency phones are located in the game day parking areas.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
- During any emergency inside the facility, follow the directions of the PA announcer, Duke Athletics staff, and emergency responders.
- Always designate a pre-determined location both inside and outside the stadium to meet friends and family in case you get separated or in the event of an emergency.
- Upon arriving at your seat location, first find the nearest exit and then locate an alternate exit in case of emergency. Exit doors for the stadium are located at:
- South Entrance – Upper Level – main entry door located above Court 6 – accessible for guests with disabilities
- North Entrance – Court Level – entry door located behind Court 5 – stairs required for access from seating area
- Court Level Emergency Exits – marked emergency exit doors located behind Courts 2 and 6 – stairs required for access from seating area
- If you see or become aware of any activity that is unusual, suspicious or causes you concern, report the activity to the nearest Duke Athletics staff or tweet @Duke_GAMEDAY.
- Emergency vehicles may be present in and around the stadium. Please do not obstruct the path of travel of a fire truck or emergency vehicle or interfere with any of their operations. Vehicles or objects (tables, tents, tailgate games, etc.) blocking emergency vehicles, designated fire lanes, stadium exits or exit paths, or vehicle/pedestrian traffic in general will be removed and dealt with in a manner deemed appropriate by stadium officials. Vehicles are subject to being towed at the owner's expense.
- Monitor the weather prior to the match. Take the necessary precautions to protect your family and friends in the event of severe weather before, during, or after the match. In the event of tornadic activity during the match, please be prepared to evacuate the stadium and follow the direction of Duke Athletics staff.

A lactation room can be made available upon request. Please ask the nearest Event Staff member for assistance.
LOST AND FOUND
If any article is lost or found in the stadium, please inquire about or report the item to any Duke Athletics staff. All lost and found items not picked up prior to the end of the match will be available for pick-up the following business day by calling 919-668-5658 or email
duaa-gameops@duke.edu. Unclaimed lost and found items will be retained for thirty (30) days following the event. After that time, any unclaimed items will be discarded.
MERCHANDISE
NCAA Championship Merchandise will be for sale in the venue on the day of competition.
PARKING INFORMATION
NCAA Fencing Regional Parking Map
- General Public Parking – Free parking is available for the NCAA Fencing Mid-Atlantic/South Regional in the Blue Zone Parking Lots B-6 and B-9 from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Access to the Blue Zone is located off of Duke University Road (GPS Address: 2300 Duke University Road). The parking area will be open beginning at 7:00 AM for General Public. Due to daily parking operations and Men’s Basketball parking operations there is limited space available in other Blue Zone Lots. Please reserve available spaces in the B-1 Lot, closest to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center for guests with disabilities and park in the designated lots for Fencing, B-6 or B-9 Lot. Guests are asked to follow the directions of the parking attendants at all times. Vehicles parked in unmarked spaces, on landscaped areas, or in the marked “IM Permits Only” parking area are subject to being ticketed and towed.
- General Public Parking for Persons with Disabilities – Is available in the Blue Zone Lots on Wannamaker Drive directly adjacent to Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. There are marked ADA spaces available in the Blue Zone B-1 Lot. If the marked spaces are full an accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is available in this same lot located immediately outside Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
- Basketball Game Day Parking Alert - $10 Charge to Park – Due to an overlap with a Men’s Basketball game day guests entering the Blue Zone lots will be charged $10 for parking beginning at 3:00 PM – cash only. Specific details will be provided in a parking & traffic alert on www.goduke.com/gameday prior to competition day.

- Parking Disclaimer – Duke University assumes no responsibility for loss through fire, theft, collision, or otherwise to the car or contents. Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. Please lock your vehicle.
- Parking Emergency Information – In case of emergency please dial 919-684-2444 for Duke Police Emergency Dispatch or 911 for Durham County. Duke Police will be the primary responder on-campus for emergency calls. Durham Police will be the primary responder off-campus for emergency calls. If an emergency occurs and authorities are contacted, please designate someone in your party to help direct emergency personnel to the emergency location.

PETS
All pets (including dogs) are prohibited inside Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. (Exception: Service animals are permitted to assist those with disabilities).
PRESS AND MEDIA ACCESS
Only NCAA credentialed staff, media and photographers will be allowed into press areas and onto the competition floor. All media or photographers should contact Sarah Leggett, Host Sports Information Director, at sarah.leggett@duke.edu to confirm approval.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
For the safety and game day experience of all fans, the following items are prohibited from entering the stadium:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Artificial noisemakers
- Duffel bags and large bags (Exceptions: Medical & childcare reasons)
- Balloons
- Balls and Frisbees
- Cameras w/lens over 4 inches
- Coolers and containers (ice chests, thermoses, cups, bottles, or other like containers)
- Drones and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) –https://drones.duke.edu/policies
- Hazardous materials
- Items obstructing sightlines of other fans
- Laser pointers
- Outside chairs (lounge chairs, folding chairs, etc.)
- Pets (exception: service animals)
- Selfie Sticks
- Shoes with wheels (wheelies)
- Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
Duke University reserves the right to deny anyone or anything from entering the venue. Any such items should be returned to your vehicle and/or discarded. All fans are subject to search before entering the venue.

RESTROOMS
Restrooms in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center open one (1) hour prior to the match.
Men’s and Women’s Restrooms are located behind Courts 1 and 2 on the lower level below the seating area. The restrooms can be accessed by using the stairs on the north side of the seating area.
There are limited accessible Men’s and Women’s restrooms in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. For assistance, please see the any Event Staff member located throughout the venue.
SEATING
Spectator seating is located on the upper level of Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center above the competition surface. All bleacher seating is first-come, first-serve. Accessible seating is available alongside the bleachers above each court along the seating area.
SMOKING
Smoking (including electronic or vapor) is not allowed in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.Smoking is permitted outside of the venue.
