Duke?s Samantha Fisher Named To 2005 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team

DURHAM, N.C. ? Duke senior Samantha Fisher was named to the 2005 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team as announced by Commissioner John D. Swofford. A total of 31 student-athletes, including 10 who received All-Conference recognition this past season, were named to the inaugural team.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

Fisher, a history major from Houston, Texas, is a three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member. A 6-1 middle blocker, Fisher ranked fourth in the ACC with a .321 hitting percentage in 2005.
