- Played in 32 of 33 games with 29 starts ... missed the Alabama game on Feb. 25 with a bruised knee
- Ranked 29th (seventh among freshmen) in the SEC in scoring (10.3 ppg.) and fifth in minutes played (32.8 mpg.)
- Was on the court for a total of 1,050 minutes, second-most in the Mississippi State freshman record books ... 328 points ranks ninth, while his 47 three-point field goals is tied for fourth among Bulldog freshmen
- Reached double figures in scoring 17 times with a season-high 20 points, to go along with eight rebounds and two steals, in a win over Louisiana-Monroe (11/21) ... was 9-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-4 from three-point range in the contest
- Had eight points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 45 minutes in an NIT opening round double-overtime loss to Massachusetts (3/13)
- Scored 14 points and added eight rebounds, while playing 40 minutes in an overtime loss at LSU (2/14)

- Collected 16 points and six rebounds in a home win over Utah State (12/31)

High School
- Two-time Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year
- Averaged 24.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 3.1 steals and 2.0 blocks in guiding Meridian to the Class 6A championship and a 29-2 record as a senior
- In the title game against Vicksburg, Hood scored 24 points en route to the 62-47 victory
- In the semifinals, scored 27 points as Meridian defeated Starkville, 72-43
- Named the Clarion Ledger’s Player of the Year and was a member of the Dandy Dozen team in 2011
- Played in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game, finishing with 18 points, three steals and six rebounds
