DURHAM, N.C. — The 2026 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) season kicks off Friday, March 13 with 11 former Duke women's soccer standouts on current rosters.

Hannah Bebar (Bay FC),
Tess Boade (Bay FC),
Michelle Cooper (Kansas City Current),
Leah Freeman (San Diego Wave FC),
Maggie Graham (Houston Dash),
Ella Hase (Racing Louisville FC),
Carina Lageyre (Angel City FC),
Mary Long (Kansas City Current),
Devin Lynch (Denver Summit FC),
Kat Rader (Houston Dash) and
Ella Stevens (Boston Legacy FC) on rosters.
Duke is one of only seven NCAA Division I collegiate women's soccer programs to feature 11 or more players on 2026 NWSL clubs.
Lageyre, Lynch and Rader are in their rookie campaign in 2026, after helping lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA College Cup for the second year in a row. Long suffered a knee injury and will be out to start the season, while Cooper has been recovering from a lower body injury as well.
Stevens and Boston Legacy will get things started for the Blue Devils against Gotham FC Saturday, March 14 at 12:30 p.m., live on ABC. Cooper, Long and the Current face the Utah Royals at 4 p.m., March 14 live on ION. Bebar, Boade and Bay FC will face Lynch and the Denver Summit at 6:30 p.m., Saturday on ION.
At 7 p.m., Saturday, Hase and Racing Louisville will go up against the NC Courage at 7 p.m., in Cary live on NWSL+. The final match of Saturday will have former teammates going up against each other as Freeman and the San Diego Wave face Graham, Rader and the Houston Dash at 8:45 p.m., on ION.
Lageyre and Angel City will face the Chicago Stars Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m., on Victory+.
Over the last two seasons, Blue Devil head coach
Kieran Hall has sent eight Duke players to the NWSL – Bebar, Freeman, Graham, Hase, Lageyre, Long, Lynch and Rader.
