STANFORD, Calif. – A dominant performance by
Cameron Boozer led No. 6 Duke to an 80-50 victory at Stanford on Saturday, Jan. 17. The Blue Devils (17-1, 6-0) held the Cardinal (14-5, 3-3 ACC) to just 19 points in the first half, as Duke led wire-to-wire and swept its west coast conference swing.
Boozer finished with 30 points and 14 rebounds, the freshman's ninth double-double of the year and sixth with at least 20 points. The freshman scored 20 of his points in the opening 20 minutes and finished one rebound shy of his career high on the glass.
Isaiah Evans and
Patrick Ngongba II joined Boozer in double-figures, scoring 15 and 13, respectively. On defense,
Dame Sarr played a pivotal role in holding Stanford's Ebuka Okorie to just nine points, 14 points below the Cardinal guard's season average.

- The lead grew to 20 points, 48-28, after a layup by Patrick Ngongba II with just under 13 minutes remaining. The sophomore reached double-figures from the charity stripe less than a minute later.

QUOTES
- "First of all, I just want to thank our fans. For the west coast trip, we haven't been out here very often, and the way our fans showed up at Cal and Stanford is an incredible thing. We don't take that for granted. It was great to see a lot of blue. And then, credit to Stanford. They had an incredible crowd, and I thought they were really ready in the beginning there. That's the first thing. The second thing, for us, it's just a great win. It's probably the most collective performance we've had on both ends of the ball. A ton of respect for Stanford, ton of respect for the teams they've beaten, especially here. We knew that it's hard to come out here on the west coast trip and get two wins. I think it's only been done once before last year. And so, for us, we viewed it as a challenge. I'm really proud of our guys for their maturity, their preparation, and then being able to not just get the win, but also grow and get better." - Duke head coach Jon Scheyer
- "Yeah, we talked with Coach Scheyer before the trip, and we thought that on this trip, we could discover a little bit of who we are. We wanted to change the energy during practice, during games, during everything we do. I think today, we had a great start, and that hasn't happened most of the games. I think we're growing. And in January, that's when you start to know which type of team you are. We're trying to grow. The ultimate goal, of course, is to win as many games as possible." - Duke freshman guard/forward Dame Sarr
