ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Recent Duke women's golf signee Mia Hammond carded a third-place finish Saturday at the 100th annual South Atlantic Women's Amateur Championship at the Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach.Â

Hammond carded rounds of 66, 64, 71 and 76 for an 11-under-par, 277, to finish four strokes off the lead. A native of New Albany, Ohio, Hammond was either tied or held the lead through the first three rounds, but closed with a 4-over, 76, in the final round.Â

In the first round, Hammond totaled five birdies and one eagle to shoot a 66 and then registered nine birdies and posted a 64 in the second round. She totaled five birdies in the third round and three on the final day. Hammond's 22 birdies ranked second among the field.Â

Amelie Zalsman turned in a 15-under, 273, to claim the title.Â

Hammond will join the Blue Devils in August of 2026 as a freshman.Â
