NESHANIC STATION, N.J.– Avery McCrery, an incoming freshman on the Duke women's golf team, turned in a 3-under-par, 69, on Wednesday at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station to qualify for the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur.
McCrery was one of four qualifiers at the site with each of the golfers shooting a 69. The U.S. Women's Amateur will take place Aug. 4-10 at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore.
A native of Wilmington, Del., McCrery opened the morning with a pair of birdies on No. 1 and No. 3, before dropping a shot on No. 4. She returned to 2-under with a birdie on No. 7 and then moved to 3-under-par with a birdie on No. 14. McCrery dropped a shot on the 16th hole, but closed with a birdie on the par-5 No. 18 to finish with a 69.

McCrery will compete in the U.S. Women's Amateur for the first time.
