DURHAM, N.C. – For the second time over the last couple of weeks, Duke women's golf standout
Andie Smith has earned All-America recognition as she was named Golfweek Honorable Mention All-America, as announced Wednesday.
Smith also earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America last week, after collecting a career-low and team-best 72.33 stroke average in nine tournaments. She led the Blue Devils with 12 rounds of even or under par and six rounds in the 60s. Smith, who hails from Hobe Sound, Fla., registered a team-best 86 birdies and finished the season ranked No. 43 nationally.
In the fall, Smith carded rounds of 68, 66 and 69 for a 7-under, 203, to claim her first tournament victory at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. She also helped lead Duke to the team title as well in Chapel Hill. Smith totaled a season-best 34-hole bogey-free streak during the year, which was the ninth-longest in program history. An All-ACC honoree, Smith counted 26 of her 27 rounds for the Blue Devils over the season.
With her top-20 finish at the NCAA Norman Regional, Smith became just the 11th Duke golfer to post top-20 placements in each of their first three NCAA Regional appearances.
Smith graduated from Duke in May in only three years with a degree in Economics along with a markets and management certificate. She will be attending the Fuqua School of Business in the M.M.S. program in 2025-26.
Duke head coach
Dan Brooks has featured at least one first, second, third team or honorable mention All-America selection with the Blue Devils every season since 1992-93. Duke is the only school nationally to accomplish this feat.
