Jackson & Hovde Tabbed ACC Doubles Team of the Week

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's tennis doubles tandem of Emma Jackson and Liv Hovde were tabbed the ACC Doubles Team of the Week on Tuesday.
Playing on court three in doubles, the duo of Jackson and Hovde helped lead the No. 9 Blue Devils to a 2-0 week, with wins over No. 4 North Carolina and No. 61 SMU.
In a battle of two unbeaten teams in conference play, the Blue Devils went on the road to defeat the Tar Heels, 4-2, on Wednesday, March 26. It marked Duke's first win at UNC since 2011.
After dropping the first game, Duke's tandem of Jackson and Hovde won three games in a row to take a 3-1 lead versus Tatum Evans and Lindsay Zink. North Carolina won a deuce point to cut the lead to 3-2, but the Blue Devils won the next three games to earn the win, 6-3.
On Sunday, the pair was trailing, 3-2, early against Kayla Schefke and Arianna Stavropoulos of SMU on court three, but regrouped and won four out of the next five games to win the match, 6-4, to help lead the Blue Devils to a 4-2 ACC win over the Mustangs.
Jackson and Hovde feature a seven-match winning streak to move to 8-1 on the year.
Sunday's victory gave head coach Jamie Ashworth his 250th career ACC win. The Blue Devils feature a 16-2 overall and 8-0 ACC mark, while collecting an 11-match winning streak.
