DURHAM, N.C. — Duke women's soccer incoming freshman
Jocelyn Travers has been added to the Gotham FC preseason roster of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Travers saw action in the preseason contest against Fort Lauderdale United FC this week. The final preseason match will take place March 2 against Tampa Bay Sun FC.
A 5-5 defender from Santa Cruz, Calif., Travers is rated the No. 15 recruit in the 2025 class and the No. 4 defender. She represented the United States at the 2024 U-17 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 CONCACAF Championship. Travers is a ECNL All-American was the Conference Player of the Year as a junior.
Former Duke standout
Ella Stevens, who is a 2020 graduate, is also a member of Gotham FC. Gotham FC is set to open the 2025 regular season March 15 with a contest against Seattle Reign FC.
Travers is a part of a seven-person Duke signing class that has been ranked No. 1 nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
