KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Duke women's soccer tandem of redshirt junior
Kat Rader and junior
Mia Minestrella have been selected as United Soccer Coaches 2025 NCAA Division I All-America selections, as announced by the organization Friday.
Rader received first team recognition, while Minestrella earned second team accolades.
It marks the third time in program history, and the second year in a row, the Blue Devils have featured multiple All-America selections in the same season (2024, 2017).
A native of Stuart, Florida, Rader has turned in an impressive all-around season for the Blue Devils, with 12 goals and 12 assists for 36 points. She has started 20-of-21 matches and added four game-winning goals. Rader, a 2025 Hermann Award semifinalist, ranks No. 17 nationally with a 1.71 points per game average and has collected at least one point in 17-of-21 matches she has competed in.
Rader became just the fourth Blue Devil in program history to notch 10 or more goals and assists in a single season. She has turned up her play even more in the postseason with two goals and four assists in four NCAA Tournament contests to lead Duke into the NCAA College Cup for the second consecutive year.
A three-time All-Region selection over her career, the All-America recognition is the first for Rader.
One of the top scorers nationally with 18 goals on the season, Minestrella earned All-America accolades for the first time as a Blue Devil. She currently leads the NCAA Tournament with six goals, three game-winning goals and is tied for first with 13 points. Minestrella has scored at least one goal in all four NCAA matches.
Minestrella, who hails from Redondo Beach, California, is one goal away from matching the Duke single-season mark held by Michelle Cooper (19). With her 41 points, Minestrella ranks third on the Blue Devil season record charts, while also ranking third with seven game-winning goals. She ranks sixth nationally in goals (18), and ninth in points (41).
Minestrella became just the fourth Blue Devil to register 10 or more goals in back-to-back seasons and the first Duke player to score in all true road matches in a season.
The All-America selections will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America ceremony and reception Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
Duke is set to face top-ranked Stanford in the NCAA College Cup Friday, Dec. 5 at 8:45 p.m., live on ESPNU from Kansas City.
