Hall Adds All-America Midfielder Sam Courtwright to 2026 Roster

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's soccer head coach Kieran Hall has added another piece to the 2026 Blue Devil roster Friday as he announced the signing of United Soccer Coaches All-America selection Sam Courtwright from Texas Tech.
In two seasons, Courtwright started all 43 matches she played for the Red Raiders, collecting nine goals and 15 assists for 33 points. She is a two-time All-Big 12 First Team selection, 2023 United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-America, 2025 Second Team All-Midwest Region honoree and 2023 Big 12 Freshman of the Year selection. Hall will have two years of eligibility remaining at Duke.
"At first, Duke intrigued me because it checked all my boxes — a tradition of soccer excellence paired with a world class academic reputation," said Courtwright. "But once I stepped on campus, I felt the magic of what a special place this really is. The thought of being a Blue Devil genuinely excites me to learn in the classroom, grow on the field, and compete for National Championships alongside a family of girls and an exceptional staff on and off the field. The culture, people, and values all align with who I am and who I want to become, so I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to grow here as a player and person, challenge myself in every aspect of life, and serve a program bigger than myself.
