DURHAM, N.C. — Coming off an impressive week for the Blue Devils, Duke women's soccer senior
Devin Lynch has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week
A native of Naperville, Illinois, Lynch registered two assists and a game-winning goal in a pair of impressive victories last week against 25th-ranked Clemson and 21st-ranked Louisville.
In the regular season finale, the Blue Devils fell behind, 1-0, to the Tigers in the first half, before Lynch connected with
Mia Minestrella to even the match, 1-0. Lynch added another assist to put Duke ahead, 3-1 in the second half as well. Duke went on to total a 3-2 victory and her second assist proved to be the game-winner for the Blue Devils. With the win, Duke secured the No. 3 seed in the ACC Championship.
Lynch then provided the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory against the Cardinals Sunday to advance to the semifinals of the ACC Championship. Her goal came at the 11:56 mark of the first half.
Over the last eight matches, Lynch has scored or assisted in seven of those. She owns five goals and seven assists for 17 points on the season.
Duke (13-3-1) will next face second-ranked Notre Dame Thursday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m., in the ACC Championship semifinals at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.
