Smith Announces Fall Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's tennis head coach Ramsey Smith and the program announced the 2024 fall schedule, which includes five dates spanning September, October and November.
The Blue Devils open the fall season Sept. 21-29 at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., with the pre-qualifying, qualifying and main draws.
Duke returns to its home state as it competes in the ITA Regional Championship (Oct. 10-14) at Cary Tennis Park. Duke will also compete at the Wake Invitational (Nov. 1-3) in Winston-Salem before the ITA Sectional Championship (Nov. 7-10) in Chapel Hill.
The NCAA Individual Championship moves to the fall season for the first time in 2024 and will mark the conclusion of the fall season Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas, and hosted by Baylor.
Most recently, seven Blue Devils were named to the ITA's preseason national singles and doubles rankings.
In singles, sophomore Cooper Williams earned the No. 4 spot heading into the fall season while Pedro Rodenas was tabbed No. 16 nationally. Gerard Planelles Ripoll and Sam Landau round out Duke's singles selections as No. 47 and No. 53, respectively. Additionally, freshman Saahith Jayaraman was named No. 20 on the newcomer list.
In doubles play, Williams and Theo Winegar earned the No. 16 spot, followed by Rodenas/Ripoll (No. 28) and Landau/Andreja Petrovic (No. 88).
