DURHAM – Duke women's basketball sophomore
Louann Battiston and the Belgium U20 Women's National Team are set to compete in the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2024 Division B, slated for July 6-14 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Belgium's U20 Women's National Team will be a part of Group C, which also features Albania, Croatia and Greece. Overall, the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2024, Division B field features 15 teams all vying for a spot in next summer's FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket.
The Group Phase will occur across the opening three days of the tournament before a rest day on July 9. From there, the Classification Games will occur based on their group positions, with the Final tipping off on July 14. All the action will be available to stream live on the
FIBA YouTube channel.
A member of the 2024 signing class, Battiston was an early enrollee at Duke, joining the Blue Devils in January 2024 ahead of the spring semester. The Charleroi, Belgium product appeared in five games off the bench during the 2023-24 campaign, dishing out six assists and scoring three points.
