Jimmy Romano were selected on Tuesday as the MLB First-year Player Draft concluded in Arlington. Oschell was selected by the Los Angeles Angles in the 12th round, while Romano was drafted in the 16th round by the Cincinnati Reds.

Fran Oschell III – Los Angeles Angles – Round: 12; Pick: 352
A quality relief arm for Duke, Oshell III tallied a 6-3 record on the mound in his 51 appearances and produced a 3.75 ERA in three seasons. The Phoenixville, Pa., native punched out 94 batters, including a career high 66 during the 2023 campaign. Throughout his time with the Blue Devils, Oshell III held opponents to a .181 career batting average against, allowing two home runs in his 69.2 innings on the bump.
Jimmy Romano – Cincinnati Reds – Round: 16; Pick: 479
A called upon relief arm for the Blue Devils, Romano appeared in 45 games in the past two seasons of action. In his two seasons on the mound, the Roseland, N.J., native produced a 2-2 record on the bump and posted a 4.58 ERA in his career. He has produced 47 strikeouts in 37.1 innings of work, holding opponents to a .257 batting average against.
