COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Basketball unveiled its roster for the 2024 USA Basketball Women's U18 National Team Saturday evening with Duke women's basketball incoming freshman
Arianna Roberson garnering a spot on the 12-player roster. USA Basketball will compete at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup from June 17-23 in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Along with Roberson, Sienna Betts, Jasmine Davidson, Joyce Edwards, Madison Francis, Kayleigh Heckel, ZaKiyah Johnson, Jordan Lee, Leah Macy, Alivia McGill, Kennedy Smith and Sarah Strong will don the red, white and blue for Team USA. The squad was selected by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee and will reconvene for training camp in Colorado Springs on June 8.
A 6-4 center heralded as the No. 17 prospect in the espnW 2024 rankings and the No. 2 player out of the Lone Star State, Roberson has previous experience with USA Basketball having represented the USA at the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit in April. She also participated at the 2023 USA 3x3 Women's U17 National Team trials in Memphis during the 2023 NCAA College Basketball Academy, which also included the U.S. Open Championships.
Tabbed a 2024 McDonald's All-American, Roberson put up 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks during her senior year while helping lead Clark to a 33-3 overall record. The San Antonio, Texas native earned District 28-6A Co-MVP honors while also earning nods to the TABC Class 6A and TGCA Class 6A All-State teams, respectively.
