DURHAM – No. 13 Duke men's tennis heads to Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday to face off against No. 4 TCU at 2 p.m. (1 p.m. CT) in the NCAA Super Regionals at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

DUKE IN THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
For the 31st time in program history, Duke is competing in the NCAA Team Championship and own an all-time NCAA Team Championship ledger of 52-30. Duke has advanced as far as the quarterfinals, reaching the round of eight in 1993, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2012 and 2013. Duke head coachÂ
Ramsey Smith has guided the Blue Devils to the NCAA Team Championship in 13 of his 16 seasons in Durham, including back-to-back quarterfinal appearances in 2012 and 2013.

Garrett Johns and
Pedro Rodenas lead the Blue Devils this season as both are listed in the most recent ITA rankings at No. 21 and No. 43, respectively. Johns holds a 16-5 dual mark this year, including a 9-4 record against nationally ranked opponents. Rodenas leads Duke with an 18-9 dual ledger and an 11-7 record against nationally ranked foes. Additionally, the duo team up in doubles play to make up the No. 1 team nationally. The pairing is 20-3 this dual season, with a 14-2 ledger against nationally ranked opponents. They also bring a 12-match winning streak into the contest.
HISTORY WITH NO. 4 TCU
The Blue Devils and Horned Frogs have faced off 17 previous times with Duke holding the 11-6 edge on the all-time series. The Horned Frogs claimed a 4-0 victory during the teams' last meeting on March 13, 2018, at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla. The last Duke win came on February 14, 2015, when the Blue Devils defeated TCU, 4-2, in Chicago, Ill., at the ITA Team Indoor Championship. Duke and TCU have faced off one prior time in the postseason with the Horned Frogs claiming a 5-3 victory on May 15, 1982.
SCOUTING THE HORNED FROGS
TCU holds a 24-4 ledger heading into Saturday's match with all four losses coming against top-25 opponents and three to top-10 foes. TCU has five players listed in the top-100 for singles action according to the most recent ITA rankings. Leading the way is No. 7 Jake Fearnley and No. 13 Jack Pinnington, who hold a 13-2 and 17-4 dual record, respectively. Additionally, Pedro Vives (No. 73), Sebastian Gorzny (No. 77) and Lui Maxted (No. 78) are nationally ranked. In doubles play, Gorzny and Vives team up to make the No. 9 pairing nationally, while Fearnley and Vives are also ranked together at No. 63. The Horned Frogs advanced to the Super Regional round after defeating No. 67 UC Irvine and No. 35 Cornell last weekend, 4-0, respectively.
UP NEXT
The super regional winners advance to the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla., where the eight teams will compete for the national championship, May 16-19. The event will be hosted by Oklahoma State University at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.
NCAA SINGLES AND DOUBLES BIDS
Johns and Rodenas were selected to represent Duke at the 2024 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, which runs May 20-25 at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.

The duo received at-large bids to compete in the 64-player singles field. Johns makes his third consecutive appearance at the singles championships, while Rodenas is set to make his second-straight trip to the top singles event.
In addition, the twosome has secured an automatic bid to the 32-team doubles championship for the second consecutive year and are the No. 1 overall seed in the national tournament. Johns and Rodenas joinÂ

In 32 of the last 35 years, Duke has had at least one player or one doubles team selected to compete in the NCAA Individual Championships. The 2020 NCAA tournament was cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
