Quotes
- "Yeah, it's different. We have two that have spent two years with us and one that's spent four years with us. I don't think we've taken the time to sit back and thought about with each of them and what they've meant to our program. We've just tried to keep going and keep playing, but they've all brought different things to our program in such a positive way.Anytime that you have a day like this it's sad to see, but to think about what they've given to your program, but we also have a lot to look forward to the rest of this year as well." - Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "We're not cliche-ish, but we are not very big on moral victories and I told them that.I told them we're proud of the effort and proud of the emotional effort that they put in.But we have to do a better job when we work so hard for four hours to put ourselves in a position to win and then we have some fear there. The what-ifs kind of creep in and we just can't do that. We've got to handle those moments better. You work your butt off to give yourself a chance. I feel for them, because they worked hard, but I also told them Virginia has been one of the top five or six teams in the country all year and we can play with anybody. We just have to realize that when we are in those moments. There is nothing to be afraid of. I told them we're not defending anything. We should be in full attack mode the entire time and hopefully we learned from that." -Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "Next weekend is another [tough ACC matches], at Notre Dame and at Louisville. We want to end strong. Those aren't easy places to play. Notre Dame is a tough place to play. So, we want to make sure that we're doing the right things with the conference tournament that week right after that and try to build some momentum. I think our doubles has gotten better the last 10 days. It's good that this time of the year, middle to end of April, that we're getting better and that we're not just cruising through. Every time we play and every time we practice is a chance to keep getting better and I'm glad to see that we're doing that." - Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
