Quotes
- "Obviously with the doubles to win two matches, 6-0, anytime in this league against quality opponents was good. I thought we came out and won a lot of deuce points early and didn't give anything for Clemson to kind of feed off of.I think they emotionally and mentally got down a little bit.We rode the momentum of the starts that we had and were able to play a 20-minute doubles match, which was great to see heading into singles." - Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
- "I thought the starts were good [in singles].I thought we got a little bit complacent at the start to the second sets.Knowing we were just playing to four today and I think some people thought, 'well ok someone else is going to win for us or someone else can take care of it.'When we are in those situations, we talk about making sure you take care of what you need to and don't let the other team get any confidence.I thought we let up a little bit at the start of the second sets, but did a good job of fighting our way back, closing it out and getting off the court quickly. When we have the two matches, it is important to do that.We will come out and have a good practice tomorrow, before we have a battle with Georgia Tech on Sunday. We always have tough matches and good matches with them.We will be ready to go." - Duke head coach Jamie Ashworth
Next Match
- The Blue Devils close their homestand on Sunday, March 10 by hosting 26th-ranked Georgia Tech at 11 a.m., at Ambler Tennis Stadium.
