DURHAM – No. 13 Duke dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 8 Harvard on Friday night at the Murr Tennis Center.

The Blue Devils dip to 8-5 on the season, while the Crimson improve to 8-4.

How It Happened
- The Blue Devils kicked off doubles action with a 6-4 upset victory from Garrett Johns and Pedro Rodenas over No. 7 Daniel Milavsky and Cooper Willams on the top court. The home side then saw David Lins and Henry von der Schulenburg earn a 6-4 victory over Faris Khan and Connor Krug on court three to knot the score at 1-1. With the doubles point coming down to the outcome on court two, Harvard's Ronan Jachuck and Alan Yim pulled off the ranked win over No. 21 Michael Heller and Andrew Zhang, 6-4.
- The Crimson extended their edge to 3-0 following wins by Jachuck and No. 116 Milavsky over Connor Krug and Zhang on courts four and three, respectively.
- The Blue Devils would not go away though, as No. 64 Johns upended No. 11 Williams 6-2, 6-4 on the main court before Alexander Visser recorded a thrilling three set victory over Valdemar Pape on court six. The rookie dropped a 6-0 decision in the first set but rebounded for 6-3, 6-2 wins in the final two frames to notch the victory.
- Unfortunately, Melchior Delloye clinched the win for the Crimson on court five after he defeated Jake Krug in three sets 6-3, 1-6, 6-0.
- No. 31 Rodenas closed out the overall match with one final win for Duke on court two following his 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 come-from-behind victory over von der Schulenburg on court two.

Notes
- Johns improves to 7-2 on the dual season, including a 5-1 mark on court one.
- Rodenas and Visser also registered their seventh and sixth dual win, respectively, with Rodenas notching his eighth victory over a ranked opponent.
- Johns and Rodenas tallied their fourth consecutive win in doubles action and improve to 7-2 on the season.

- Duke is back in action on Saturday when it faces ACC foe Boston College in Cambridge, Mass., at 5 p.m. The match will be held at the Murr Tennis Center on the campus of Harvard. The Eagles are scheduled to battle Southern New Hampshire on Friday night prior to meeting the Blue Devils.
