DURHAM, N.C. –For the first time in program history, the Duke women's soccer team had four student-athletes recognized as United Soccer Coaches All-America selections in 2024, as announced by the organization.
Blue Devil goalkeeper
Leah Freeman and midfielder
Maggie Graham earned first team accolades, while defender
Cameron Roller and midfielder
Hannah Bebar were tabbed to the second team.
Freeman, Graham and Roller received All-America honors for the first time in their respective careers, while Bebar earned recognition for the third time. Duke led all schools with four first and second team selections.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Graham featured a breakout season offensively for the top-ranked Blue Devils with a team-high 14 goals along with five assists and 33 points. On the season, she notched five game-winning goals and three matches with two or more tallies. Graham, who was the ACC Midfielder of the Year, played her best against the top competition with seven of her 14 goals coming against ranked opponents.
Freeman was very impressive in goal once again for the Blue Devils all season helping lead Duke to 12 shutouts, including four straight in NCAA Tournament action. A product of Berkeley, Calif., Freeman totaled a 0.78 goals-against average with seven solo shutouts and 52 saves. Freeman was the ACC Goalkeeper of the Year in 2024 becoming the first player to be named Goalkeeper of the Year in two different conferences. The 12 shutouts by the Blue Devils in 2024 ranked tied for sixth on the Duke's record charts.
Bebar, who is from Naperville, Ill., started all 22 matches in the midfield for Duke. She posted three goals and five assists for 11 points, while helping the Blue Devils control the midfield most of the season. Bebar registered a brace at eighth-ranked North Carolina to help close the regular season with a 3-2 win on the road.
One of the top defenders nationally in just her second year with the Blue Devils, Roller played a team-high 1,864 minutes on the season and helped lead Duke to 12 shutouts. She has also added four goals, four assists and 12 points from the backline. The ACC Defender of the Year from Sherman, Texas, registered the game-winner on the road at 17th-ranked California.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Chicago, Ill., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
All four Blue Devils helped lead Duke to a very impressive season with an 18-3-1 overall and 9-0-1 ACC ledger. Duke advanced to the NCAA College Cup for the fifth time in program history, won the ACC Regular Season title for the fourth time in Blue Devil history and sent head coach
Robbie Church off into retirement after one of the most impressive seasons in Duke history.
