How It Happened
• After dropping the doubles point for the first time all season in the previous match, Duke came out and claimed the key point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3.
• On court three, the Blue Devil tandem of
Iuliia Bryzgalova and
Brianna Shvets jumped out to a 4-0 lead against Maia Sung and Isabella Chhiv. Princeton battled back to win two points, cutting the lead to 4-2. Bryzgalova and Shvets responded by winning two more games to take the 6-2 victory.

• The doubles point came down to court one with
Shavit Kimchi and
Karolina Berankova against Maia Sung and Isabella Chhiv. Duke stormed out of the gate taking a 5-0 lead and had match point in the sixth game, but Sung and Chhiv would cut the lead to 5-1. Princeton then won two more deuce points to earn its second and third points of the match. On Duke's sixth match point leading 5-3, Kimchi and Berankova won, 6-3, to clinch the point for the Blue Devils.
• Going up against her former team, Shvets was able to quickly help put Duke's second point on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Eva Elbaz on court six. Shvets never trailed in the match and only dropped one of her first eight games of the match.
• Duke went ahead, 3-0, as 74th-ranked Coleman registered a 6-1, 6-4 win over Princeton's 93rd-ranked Jessup. Coleman was dominant from the start jumping out to 4-1 leads in both sets, before winning.
• For the second straight match and the third time this season, Kimchi clinched the victory for Duke on court one. A product of Israel, Kimchi was in a battle in the first set against Velaga. In the first game, Velaga broke Kimchi and won the deuce point to go ahead early. Velaga would go ahead, 3-1, before Kimchi mounted a rally. Kimchi cut the lead to 3-2, but Velaga went ahead 5-3. Kimchi won back-to-back games to even the score, 5-5, including a break to win her fifth game. Princeton broke Duke to go ahead, 6-5, but Kimchi broke Velaga again to send the match to a tiebreaker. Quotes
• "It's great [to get a quick win and get off the court]. Anytime we have back-to-back matches that's what we're trying to do. I thought we got off to a really good start in doubles at courts one and three. We kind of just kept the momentum going from there, we were vocal. We talked to the team before the match about opportunities and taking advantage of those opportunities and I thought we did a good job across the board of that today." - Duke head coach
Jamie Ashworth
• "She did a good job fighting her way through that first set, fighting her way back into it. And just really taking control in the tiebreaker and taking the momentum from that. She never let the girl have any breathing room in the second set and kind of rolled from there. It was all-around a good team win for us." - Duke head coach

• "I was just in a good mindset today and the energy from the team helped a lot. We had a really nice crowd out here, which helped as well. I just felt really comfortable and confident with my game."- Duke junior
