DURHAM — Duke women's basketball signee Arianna Roberson was announced Tuesday as one of 24 high school seniors selected to the McDonald's All-America team.
Roberson, the Blue Devils' 35th McDonald's All-American all-time, will represent the West team in the 23rd installment of the women's showcase. The 2024 McDonald's All American Girls Game will air on Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
A 6-4 center from San Antonio, Texas and heralded as the No. 19 prospect in the espnW 2024 rankings and the No. 2 player out of the Lone Star State, Roberson is putting up 17.0 points and 12.0 boards per game as a senior and has helped lead Clark to a 24-2 overall record this season.
Tabbed the 2023 San Antonio Express-News Player of the Year and the District 28-6A Defensive Player of the Year, Roberson averaged 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game during her junior campaign. She helped lead Clark High School to a 34-3 overall record and the UIL Class 6A State Championship – the first in school history, earning tournament MVP honors in the process following a 24 point, 15 rebound performance in the title game.
Roberson continues to rake up the honors, as she was recently tabbed as one of 12 players to the 2024 USA Women's Nike Hoop Summit roster, in addition to being named to the 2024 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy High School Girls Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List.
