DURHAM ā The 2024 LPGA campaign is set to open this week with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, which will take place Jan. 18-21 at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Fla.Ā

Leona Maguire headlines the limited field of 35 golfers, while also featuring 46 celebrities and amateurs for the Tournament of Champions.Ā The event will be 72-hole stroke play with no cut and features a modified stableford scoring.Ā

The purse for the professional golfers will be $1.5 million with the winner taking home $225,000.Ā

The Golf Channel and Peacock will be carrying the tournament all four days ā Thursday and Friday (1-4 p.m.), Saturday (2-3 p.m. on Golf Channel/Peacock and 3-5 p.m. on NBC/Peacock) and Sunday (1-4 p.m.).

Following the opening weekend, the LPGA continues its schedule with the LPGA Drive On Championship at Bradenton Country Club in Bradenton, Fla., from Jan. 25-28.Ā A total of six Blue Devils are expected to see action in the tournament ā Maguire,

Gina Kim,
Lindy Duncan and Laetitia Beck.Ā

Over the last two years, Duke golfers have won the LPGA Drive On Championship as Boutier posted a 20-under score in 2023 and Maguire shot 18-under in 2022 to hoist the trophy.Ā

Duke golfers were very impressive in the 2023 LPGA season earning $5,366,173 to go along with five wins, 24 top-10 finishes, 38 top-20 placements and 145 rounds in the 60s.Ā
