DURHAM – United Soccer Coaches released its College Team Academic Award winners with the Duke women's soccer team earning honors once again. The teams were recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
A total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 179 schools, including Duke, had both men's and women's programs recognized.
Under the guidance of head coach
Robbie Church, the Blue Devils tallied an impressive 3.68 grade-point average this past year.
Duke is coming off a 2-0 victory Thursday over West Virginia in the season opener. The Blue Devils will next host No. 22 Southern California Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.
