Duke to Play Arkansas in 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge

DURHAM – Duke men's basketball is scheduled to play at Arkansas on Nov. 29 for the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge, as the matchups for the first edition of the event were released Wednesday by ESPN. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
Duke and Arkansas are meeting for the fifth time overall but for just the second time during the regular season. The most recent meeting between the two teams came in the 2022 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, a 78-69 triumph for the Blue Devils. The lone regular season matchup between Duke and Arkansas was played on Nov. 21, 1990, a 98-88 win for the Razorbacks. The series is currently tied, 2-2, between the two teams.
The Blue Devils enter the ACC/SEC Challenge after going 20-4 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge – the best overall record by any team in that Challenge all time, by six wins.
Duke is coming off a 2022-23 season that saw the Blue Devils finish with a 27-9 record and featured an unblemished record at Cameron Indoor Stadium, the program's 22nd ACC title and 45th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Blue Devils return multiple starters from last season's squad, including reigning ACC Rookie of the Year Kyle Filipowski, ACC All-Freshman Tyrese Proctor, All-ACC Honorable Mention and All-ACC Tournament First Team Jeremy Roach, and Mark Mitchell – who started in all 35 games that he played in.
Head coach Jon Scheyer enters his second season at the helm of the program and welcomes the nation's No. 2 recruiting class to Durham for the upcoming season.
