DURHAM – Riding a nine-match winning streak, the sixth-ranked Duke women's tennis team will close a homestand by welcoming 24th-ranked Wake Forest and seventh-ranked NC State to Ambler Tennis Stadium this week. The Blue Devils will host the Demon Deacons on Thursday, April 6 at 5 p.m., followed by taking on the Wolfpack for senior day on Saturday, April 8 at 11 a.m. The matches are scheduled to be played at Ambler Tennis Stadium or the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center on campus.
The Series with Wake Forest
Duke and Wake Forest will meet for the 70th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 65-4. The Blue Devils have won 16 consecutive matches in the series. In matches played in Durham, the Blue Devils feature a 27-1 ledger, including 11 wins in a row. The lone loss in Durham came on April 5, 2000. Blue Devil head coach

Scouting Wake Forest
Wake Forest enters the week with a 14-9 overall and 4-5 ACC record, while winning its last two matches against Syracuse and Elon under the direction of head coach Jeff Wyshner.
In the latest ITA rankings, Casie Wooten is ranked No. 47 and Anna Brylin is No. 66. In doubles, Brylin and Brooks Killingsworth are ranked No. 23.
The Series with NC State

Scouting NC State
NC State owns a 17-2 overall and 8-1 ACC mark heading into the week. The Wolfpack will face top-ranked North Carolina on Thursday in Chapel Hill, prior to heading to Durham on Saturday.
In the latest ITA rankings, the Wolfpack features four players ranked in singles – Alana Smith (13), Diana Shnaider (18), Amelia Rajecki (28) and Abigail Rencheli (65). In doubles, Shnaider/Smith (10) and Nell Miller/Rajecki (11) are ranked.

20-Win Marks
The Blue Devils reached the 20-win mark for the 19th time in school history under head coach
Jamie Ashworth and 29th time overall in program history with their 6-1 victory Sunday against Florida State.
Duke features the most 20-win seasons in the ACC since the 1997-98 campaign, which was Ashworth's first full season as the head coach with the Blue Devils. Duke owns 19 20-win seasons to lead the league – Duke (19), North Carolina (18), Miami (10), Georgia Tech (7), Clemson (6), Virginia (5), Wake Forest (4), NC State (3) and Florida State (2).
At Boston College and Syracuse, both
Emma Jackson and
Ellie Coleman reached the 20-win singles marks on the season. The duo has posted 20 singles wins in each of their first two seasons with the Blue Devils.
Senior Day on Saturday
Duke will host senior day on Saturday at 11 a.m., against NC State. Prior to the match, the Blue Devils will honor senior
Georgia Drummy and graduate student
Cameron Morra. The duo will be playing in their final regular season match in Durham.
Drummy has totaled an 81-30 singles record and a 66-31 doubles ledger over her career. She is a two-time ITA All-American in singles and an All-ACC Second Team selection in 2021. Drummy was the ACC Tournament MVP a season ago helping lead Duke to the team title.
After four very successful seasons down the road in Chapel Hill, Morra joined the Blue Devils for the 2022-23 campaign and has made an immediate impact totaling a 19-12 record in singles along with a 29-4 mark in doubles. She is a three-time ITA All-American in singles and two-time in doubles.
In the ACC Standings
With the ACC regular season coming to a close next week, Duke currently features a 9-1 ACC mark, which is second in the ACC behind North Carolina (10-0). NC State (8-1), Virginia (8-2) and Miami (6-3) round out the top five teams. The top four teams in the final standings will receive a bye into the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, which will take place April 19-23 in Cary, N.C.
Playing at Home
Duke features a 24-match home winning streak, tied for fifth-longest in school history. The Blue Devils are 13-0 at home this season. The longest streaks in school history are – 54 (2017-21), 28 (2008-10), 28 (2011-13), 26 (2002-04), 24 (2022-23), 22 (1990-92) and 21 (2014-15).
In the ACC, Duke's 24-match winning streak ranks second as North Carolina owns a 73-match streak dating back to 2018.

Chloe Beck ranks in the top-10 in numerous categories in the Duke record book. In the career record book, she ranks seventh in ACC singles wins (32), first in consecutive ACC singles wins (23), eighth in doubles wins (102), 10th in singles wins at the No. 1 position (23), eighth in career doubles wins (102) and 10th in combined singles/doubles wins in a career (213).
Duke's doubles duo of Beck and
Cameron Morra already ranks eighth on Duke's most doubles wins in a season with 28. With one more victory, the tandem will move into a tie for sixth.

Duke is currently ranked sixth in the ITA poll, which is sponsored by Tennis-Point. The Blue Devils have been listed in the top 10 of the team rankings in seven of the eight polls this spring. With the preseason top-10 ranking, the Blue Devils have been tabbed in the top 10 in seven straight years under the direction of head coach
Jamie Ashworth. In his 27th season at the helm, Ashworth has guided Duke to a total of 20 top-10 preseason rankings since 2001.

100-Win Club
Blue Devil senior
Chloe Beck became the 29th Blue Devil to reach 100 singles wins at Syracuse. She also collected her 100th career doubles win as well. Beck also owns a 66-9 dual match record and has won 21 out of her last 22 matches.
Graduate student
Cameron Morra became the 28th Blue Devil to reach the 100-win mark at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship earlier this spring.
Doubles Play
After winning the doubles point in the first eight matches, Duke dropped the doubles point in three of the next five contests. Duke is coming off winning the doubles point in nine straight matches. The Blue Devils have dropped the doubles point in both losses this season (Oklahoma and Virginia).
