Winners of eight straight and 11 of its last 13, No. 21 Duke squares off with No. 13 Virginia in the championship game of the ACC Tournament on Saturday night in Greensboro.
The championship game is broadcast on ESPN, with Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas on the call. David Shumate and John Roth are on the mic for the Blue Devil Sports Network from LEARFIELD while Mike Couzens and Malcolm Huckaby broadcast the game on ESPN Radio.
Duke is in the title game for the second straight season, the fourth time in the last seven years and the 35th time overall, which matches the ACC record for most title games.
The Blue Devils are the winningest ACC Tournament team all-time with more wins (109), titles (21) and a better winning percentage (.703) than any team in the league.
Duke is 101-40 (.716) all-time at the Greensboro Coliseum, including 43-18 (.704) in the 28 previous ACC Tournaments with eight titles (1978, 1980, 1986, 1988, 2003, 2006, 2010, 2011).
Duke held off No. 14 Miami, 85-78, in Friday's semifinals, collecting 16 assists on 28 field goals and matching its season-high by hitting .500 from three-point range (8-of-16).
The team's 43 assists through two ACC Tournament games were one shy of tying the record 44 through two tournament games. Duke had an ACCT record 27 in the quarterfinals vs. Pitt.
Duke has held opponents below their season scoring average 29 times (25-4 in those games) and the Blue Devils are second in the conference in scoring defense (64.4), second in three-point field goal defense (.306) and second in field goal defense (.411).
Kyle Filipowski has hit 16 of his first 19 field goals in the ACC Tournament (.842), going 8-of-10 vs. Pitt then 8-of-9 for 17 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high five assists vs. Miami -- his 15th double-double this season to leads all Division I freshman.

Notes on Duke's Season-Long Eight-Game Winning Streak
Duke's current eight-game win streak is a season long and tied for second longest by power conference teams (through March 10 games).
The streak is Duke's longest since a nine-game winning streak in 2019-20 season.
It marked just the eighth time in Duke's ACC era (since 1953-54) that the team entered the postseason on a win streak of six or more games -- Duke ultimately reached the Final Four in four of those seasons (1963, 1986, 1999 and winning the title in 2015), while three of those season produced an ACC Tournament title (1963, 1986 and 1999).
The Blue Devils have won these eight by an average of 12.8 points and are averaging 77.4 points, shooting .499 from the field, .369 from three-point range, .792 at the free throw line with 131 assists against 75 turnovers.
Duke has 131 assists on 223 field goals in the streak -- a 59 percent assist rate -- and just 75 turnovers -- 1.75 ratio, with Proctor at 36 assists and 13 turnovers (2.77-to-1) and Roach at 31 and 14 (2.21-to-1).
Duke is shooting .499 in the streak, led by freshman Dereck Lively II's 28-of-36 (.778) and Mitchell's 32-of-59 (.542).
As a team, the Blue Devils have converted 114-of-144 (.792) at the free throw line over the last eight wins.
Razor-Thin Recent Series with Cavaliers; 20th Meeting in ACC Tournament, 2nd in ACC Title Game
While Duke has won nine of the last 15 games in the Virginia series, the average margin of victory for either team in that span is just 4.5 points with no game decided by more than 10 points, including the last meeting in overtime -- won by Virginia 69-62 on Feb. 11 in Charlottesville.
The Blue Devils are second in the conference in scoring defense (64.4) behind the Cavaliers (60.3), while Duke and Virginia are second (.411) and third (.415) in field goal defense and Duke is second in three-point defense (.306).
Duke and Virginia are first (+8.55) and second (+8.13) in the ACC in scoring margin.
The teams' only meeting in the ACC title game came March 16, 2014 in Greensboro, with Virginia winning 72-63.
Duke and Virginia have met 19 previous times in the ACC Tournament, with the Blue Devils leading 15-4.
Duke is 17-1 with Full Roster Available
Finding continuity at the end of the season after a year full of disruptions by injury or illness, Duke enters the ACC title game having played nine consecutive games with its full complement of scholarship players available (8-1 in those games) and having started the same lineup in 13 consecutive games (11-2) -- both its longest stretches of continuity this season.
Duke has played just 18 games all season with its full complement available -- having not lost in regulation in those games (17-1), including wins over Xavier, Iowa, Ohio State, Miami (twice), NC State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Syracuse, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Pitt.
Seven of Duke's losses have come in the 15 games that Blue Devils were injured during the game or did not play due to injury or illness.
Scheyer in the ACC Tournament
Head coach Jon Scheyer has led Duke to the championship game of the ACC Tournament in his first year, but ACC Tournament success is no stranger to Scheyer. As a player, assistant coach and now head coach, his ACC Tournament record is 25-7 (.781).
He was 7-2 as a player, winning consecutive titles in 2009 and 2010 to end his career, and was 16-5 as a Duke assistant with titles in 2017 and 2019 and two other title game appearances. He averaged 17.4 points in his nine tournament games.
Duke's Three-Point Streak
Duke has connected on at least one three-pointer in 1,186 straight games, the second-longest streak nationally.
It has been more than 30 years since Duke was held without a three-point field goal -- Dec. 30, 1989, versus Hawai'i.
