DURHAM – The No. 9 Duke women's basketball team was projected as a No. 2 seed in the Greenville Regional 1 in the first Division I Women's Basketball Committee Top-16 reveal announced Thursday evening.
Thursday's top-16 reveal was the first of two that will be provided by the committee during the 2022-23 regular season, with the second one slated for Thursday, February 23 during halftime of the South Carolina-Tennessee game on ESPN (7 p.m. ET). The full 68 team field for the NCAA Tournament will be announced by the committee on the NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Show set to air on ESPN Sunday, March 12 at 7 p.m. CT.
Duke submitted its bid to host the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament at Cameron Indoor Stadium; if ultimately selected as one of the 16 host sites, more information on tickets will be available at

Boasting a 21-3 overall record and an 11-2 record in ACC play, the Blue Devils are having their best season dating back to the 2013-14 campaign. Duke is back at Cameron Indoor Stadium for a Sunday afternoon tilt, playing host to Miami in their Play4Kay game on Feb. 12 at 2 p.m., live on RSN.
