Duke Earns Six on CSC Academic All-District Team

DURHAM – Six Blue Devils were named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.
Senior offensive tackle Graham Barton, redshirt sophomore linebacker Nick Morris Jr., sophomore kicker Todd Pelino, junior defensive back Joshua Pickett, junior long snapper Curtis Cooper, and graduate student offensive lineman Scott Elliott all garnered acknowledgment.
Duke was joined by Boston College (one), Clemson (one), Georgia Tech (three), Louisville (three), North Carolina (five), Pittsburgh (one), Syracuse (four) and Virginia (five) as ACC programs with at least one selection this season.
To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve, achieve sophomore standing at their current school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be nominated by his sports information director.
By virtue of their placement on the all-district team, all six will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees being announced in mid-December.
