DURHAM – Duke women's tennis head coach
Jamie Ashworth announced the fall schedule for the Blue Devils on Tuesday, which will open Sept. 16-18.
The Blue Devils will participate in seven tournaments over the next three months prior to dual match action starting in January.
Ashworth and the Blue Devils will kick off action Sept. 16-18 at both the Furman Fall Classic and the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. The following weekend will be the Ranked College Spotlight in Cary, N.C., Sept. 23-25.
In October, Duke will participate in the ITA All-American in Cary, N.C., Oct. 1-9 along with the ITA Fall Regionals in Winston-Salem, N.C., Oct. 13-16.
The Blue Devils will close the fall with the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego, Calif., Nov. 2-6 and the NC State Invitational in Raleigh, N.C., Nov. 4-6.
Duke is coming off making its 11th appearance in the NCAA Semifinals and claiming the ninth ACC Championship under the direction of Ashworth. The Blue Devils notched a 23-4 overall ledger and return All-America selections
Chloe Beck and
Georgia Drummy. Other returning letterwinners include
Karolina Berankova,
Ellie Coleman and
Emma Jackson. Duke also brought in three highly-ranked graduate transfers with the addition of
Iuliia Bryzgalova,
Cameron Morra and
Brianna Shvets.
