DURHAM – Entering the 52nd season in program history, the Duke volleyball team will welcome Davidson Saturday, Aug. 20 to Cameron Indoor Stadium for a 2 p.m., exhibition match.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Devils concluded the 2021 season 16-13 overall and 7-11 in ACC competition. Entering her 24th season at the helm of the program, head coach Jolene Nagel returns nine letterwinners from a season ago and welcomes eight newcomers.
- During her Duke tenure, Nagel has led the Blue Devils to 13 NCAA Tournament appearances and 14 seasons with 20 or more victories.

- In addition to the six freshmen, Duke welcomes two graduate students in Madison Bryant (Tennessee) and Devon Chang (UCLA).
- As well as some new faces, the offseason brought a couple coaching changes as Kellie Catanach Johnson was elevated to associate head coach while Jeremy Garcia joined the staff in an assistant role.
AGAINST THE WILDCATS
- Duke and Davidson clash for the first time in program history.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
- The Wildcats ended the 2021 season 14-13 overall and 10-6 in the Atlantic 10. 2021 A10 Co-Coach of the Year, Chris Willis, returns at the helm in addition to Co-Libero of the Year Bella Brady.
- Davidson faced three ACC opponents during the 2021 regular season.

- Following the exhibition, Duke will open the 2022 regular-season slate at the BYU Invitational Aug. 26-27 in Provo, Utah.
