SiriusXM ACC Volleyball Preview Show to Debut Thursday

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – SiriusXM will air an Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball preview show on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. Hosted by SiriusXM & ESPN's Katie George, a former standout volleyball player at Louisville, the show features interviews with all 15 head coaches and 19 student-athletes (complete list below). The preview show also will be available on demand on the SXM App with clips on ACC and SiriusXM social media channels.
In addition to head coach Jolene Nagel, the Blue Devils were represented by senior co-captains Lizzie Fleming and Gracie Johnson.
The ACC is poised for another outstanding year after posting its most successful season in 2021. The ACC's had two teams in the national semifinals for the first time in league history and its six NCAA teams tied the league record. The ACC's three teams in the regional finals and third round, and five teams in the second round were both the most in conference history.
Earlier this week, three ACC teams were ranked in the preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll with all three in the top 10. Preseason No. 4 Louisville and No. 6 Pitt both advanced to last season's NCAA Championship semifinals and each finished with more than 30 wins. Georgia Tech's No. 9 ranking is the highest preseason ranking in program history. Miami, North Carolina and Florida State also received votes in the poll.
The regular season begins Friday, Aug. 26 with all 15 teams in action. More than 150 ACC volleyball matches are slated for ACC Network Extra. Follow all the ACC volleyball action with updated scores, schedules at standings at theACC.com.
The ACC preseason coaches poll and all-conference team will be released on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
