Chloe Beck was selected as the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year, while seven Blue Devils received nods to the All-ACC Academic team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Duke registered a league-high seven players on the All-ACC Academic Team, while Miami and North Carolina tallied six apiece. NC State and Wake Forest each featured five players on the list.
Beck, a psychology major with a cumulative GPA of 3.986, led the Blue Devils in singles wins and finished a stellar campaign with an overall record of 34-11 and an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national singles ranking of No. 8. A 2022 ITA Singles All-American and All-ACC First Team selection, Beck finished the regular season with an 18-0 mark and a 13-0 record in ACC play, making her the first Duke player since 2018 to finish conference play undefeated.
The Watkinsville, Ga., native was most recently tabbed to the to the 2021-22 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) 2021-22 Academic All-America® First Team, becoming just the fourth women's tennis player in program history and the first since 1999 to earn a selection to one of the CoSIDA Academic All-America women's teams. Beck earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for the second time.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Omirou earned the distinction for the third time in her career and first as a Blue Devil. Bilokin and Drummy garner their second All-ACC Academic Team accolade, while Chen, Coleman and Jackson collect honors for the first time.
