Chloe Beck has been tabbed to the 2021-22 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) 2022 Academic All-District III Women's At-Large Team, the organization announced Thursday.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-June.
The Watkinsville, Ga., native is amid a stellar junior campaign that has seen her amass a 32-9 overall record during the 2021-22 campaign. Currently ranked ninth nationally, she has been a mainstay in the ITA polls, leading the team in the singles rankings throughout the year. Beck owns a 20-3 ledger this season in dual match play that features eight wins over ranked opponents and an unblemished 13-0 mark in conference play, making her the first Blue Devil player since 2018 to go undefeated in ACC play.
Additionally, she was selected as one of three Blue Devils to receive an at-large bid and represent Duke at the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Individual Championships, earning a top-16 seed in the singles draw. The selection marked Beck's second overall at-large bid to the individual championships and her first appearance in the singles bracket.
Beck and the No. 4 Duke women's tennis team will square off against ACC foe and in-state rival No. 6 NC State in the quarterfinal match of the NCAA Team Championships on Friday night at 7 p.m. CT at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Ill.
