Alumna Ana Belac and incoming freshman Andie Smith Swapt Perspectives
DURHAM — Even though Duke women's golf standout Ana Belac graduated in 2020, she remains a fixture in the program. So, when Blue Devil incoming freshman Andie Smith visited campus this year, the two connected to swap Duke golf experiences.
Smith, a product of Hobe Sound, Fla., is a 6-time winner on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) that attends The Benjamin School located in Pal Beach Gardens, Fla.
A 2020 Duke graduate, Belac helped lead the Blue Devils to the 2019 NCAA Championship and is currently in her second year on the LPGA. She was the Epson Tour Player of the Year in 2020, totaled four top-10 finishes and won the Carolina Golf Classic in her first year as a professional.
Smith will arrive on campus at Duke in August and be a freshman in 2022-23.
