Chen Named to 2022 All-SoCal College Team

DURHAM – Duke women's tennis senior Kelly Chen was named to the 2022 All-SoCal College Team, as announced by USTA Southern California this past week.
Chen is one of ten men and women named to the regional team who have exemplified both athletic and academic achievement, as well as commendable sportsmanship throughout their junior and college careers.
A four-time ITA All-American, Chen currently sits in sixth on the Duke career singles list with a 127-47 mark and is tied for 17th on the career doubles list at 88-45. Overall, the senior owns a 215-92 combined career singles and doubles record – good for ninth all-time in total victories. Chen needs three more wins to move into a tie for eighth with Jessi Robinson.
The Cerritos, Calif., native won both ACC Freshman and ITA Carolina Region Freshman of the Year honors in 2018, is a three-time All-ACC Second Team selection and earned ITA Scholar Athlete Status in 2021.
Other women's tennis honorees include Charlotte Chavatipon (Texas), Julia Deming (Kansas), and Haley Giavara (Cal).
