Field Set for ACC Women’s Tennis Championship

DURHAM – The ACC Women's Tennis Championship field was announced Sunday with No. 9 Duke entering as the second overall seed.
Duke (16-3, 11-2 ACC) received a double bye into the quarterfinal round and will play the winner of the match between seventh-seeded Wake Forest and 10th-seeded Syracuse on Friday at 6 p.m. The matchup between the Demon Deacons and Orange is slated for Thursday at 6 p.m. All matches will take place at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Ga.
The winner of Friday's quarterfinal match advances to Saturday's 2 p.m., semifinal contest against either No. 3 Miami, No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 11 Boston College or No. 14 Louisville. The semifinal match featuring the highest remaining seed and the Sunday championship match will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
Duke is 74-18 (.804) all-time at the ACC Championship and owns a league-leading 17 titles. Jamie Ashworth leads the league with the most ACC championships as a head coach having led the Blue Devils to eight team titles during his time in Durham.
